Class Overview
This is a quarterly class that I teach that splits its time between two topics: Vocabulary and Top 20 skills. Students will learn a variety of new vocabulary words and will be assessed by taking a pre- and post vocabulary test that will measure their growth. For the Top 20 portion of the class, students will work in small groups on different project-based learning activities. These include making posters for around the school, writing, planning and performing skits for other students, and making motivational bookmarks for the school's library.

Why Project-Based Learning?
Students At Work
Best Practice
Research shows an increase in engagement, productivity, and retention when students are asked to evaluate their own work and performance on a regular basis. As we embark on our next group projects (writing, developing and performing Top 20 skits) that will span over 2+ weeks, I’m excited to see how this daily check-in will affect their work!
